FABLE TLC IN 2025

Сейчас 2025 год, и всё это уже кажется довольно старым,
Я играю в FABLE TLC и пытаюсь установить ВАШИ УДИВИТЕЛЬНЫЕ МОДЫ,
Но когда я добавляю FMP, FABLE EXPLORER выдаёт: Error loading FMP, The control bytes mismatch. ID=36E9BC1B.
Кто-нибудь может мне помочь?
Может кто-нибудь сделает туториал, как перенести мод на нашу версию FABLE TLC 2025 года?

Hi! I’m just starting to get into modding Fable TLC in 2025, so many years after the game’s release, and everything feels really old..
I wanted to add a custom weapon using Chocolate Box / Fable Explorer, and I realized that there are no recent video tutorials on this topic. The only videos I could find are over 18 years old in youtube..
I also tried installing Fable mods I found on this site, not a single, but all of them, and none of them are up to date. I get the error:
“FMP loading error, control bytes mismatch. ID=36E9BC1B.”
I was told it’s because all these mods are too old or only for Fable normal (Vanilla) not Fable TLC.
I wonder what happened that caused all of this to be abandoned like that, Now, in 2025, I can’t find any way to learn Fable modding.
There are some interesting resource files on the site, but they are way too complicated without real tutorials, even for something simple like adding a custom weapon.
I play on the Steam version but i can play other too and its same problem.
I would love to learn how to add a custom weapons in fable TLC with a real video tutorial from someone up to date, and also if mod could be fixed without get the error.

My friend, all mods on our site were tested by the editorial board. Most of them works for TLC/Steam version (we use it too). Even in 2025. At the same time, I can add that installing several mods at once is not the best idea: it very often causes intersection of id's. It's not impossible to solve, but it will require patience from you to match all id's via FE or CBox. Now to the second part of your question — about working modding guide. You may find it in Modding menu: https://fablegame.info/fable_modding_en Most of its content is actual and I usually use it by myself.

I should also mention that I’ve already spent an enormous amount of time on this; I’ve tried following the existing guides and understanding how the tools work, but despite all the time invested, I still haven’t managed to get anything working correctly.
Regarding the mods, I really don’t understand what’s blocking me, because I keep getting the exact same error (Error loading FMP, The control bytes mismatch. ID=36E9BC1B.), unfortunately, despite my many attempts.
I just wanted to add Keyblades from Kingdom Hearts into Fable TLC; I’ve tried working with Fable Explorer and ChocolateBox, but without success, the problem is that there are far too few mods, probably because of the near-total absence of clear video tutorials showing each step to follow simply.
I’m a modder myself, and I’m just starting with Fable now, but it’s absolutely horrible to have to navigate blindly without real guidance; proper, simple, step-by-step video tutorials would be essential to help newcomers and avoid this kind of roadblock..
I could have recreated all the Keyblades for the Fable game, but unfortunately, I don’t expect to succeed. You can find some tutorial steps in this website, but without real guidance; for adding a weapon, there’s only one/two section that covers about 10% of the modding process, which makes the rest extremely difficult to manage for a beginner..Добавлено (31.12.2025, 19:41)

I’m getting back to inform you that the mods still don’t work, and I am getting the same error every time. It’s not possible that the mods were tested in 2025 and claimed to work. You just need to import the FMP files into Fable Explorer to see the problem.
The error displayed is:
“FMP loading error, control byte mismatch. ID=36E9BC1B.”
