Part Two of Albion’s New History Focuses on the Old Kingdom
Language: EN | RU
The creators of the Fable remake have published the second part of the new history of Albion, covering the era of the Old Kingdom. The latest excerpt from historian Brian Bifford’s book appeared on the game’s official website on September 21.
It begins after William Black and his companions defeated the Court. The country celebrated the downfall of the Queen, Knight and Jack of Blades, before turning its attention to the future.
Although Black immediately disappeared from the historical record, other Heroes began using Strength, Skill and Will to reshape the world around them. The Heroes of Bower and Blood founded the twin cities of Bowerstone and Bloodstone. Other Heroes fought monsters left over from the age of the Court and built masterpieces of magical engineering.
For their work and great deeds, the Heroes expected admiration and worship. Eventually, they became an aristocracy, and their rule was not always just.
The first part of Albion’s new history was published a month and a half earlier. It revealed that in the new canon, William Black also defeated the Court, but did not do so alone.
Since Playground Games’ Fable is a remake, some of the events, characters and locations familiar to players will be different. For now, it is impossible to say how extensive the changes to the canon will be.
The game will be released on February 23, 2027, for PC, Xbox and PlayStation, although players who purchase the Premium Edition or Collector's Edition will be able to start playing five days earlier, on February 18.
