Petition to Add Russian to Fable Disappears from Xbox Website
Language: EN | RU
A mass petition calling for Russian language support in the new Fable has disappeared from the Xbox Player Voice portal, users noticed.
After appearing on June 8, the appeal to the developers went viral and reached fifth place in the top 10. It had been supported by 10,500 players, who left more than 5,000 comments in the thread.
The reason is currently unclear. Many people discussing the issue online believe the petition was deleted.
The appeal was originally started by a user named Maxim Romanov. He pointed out that another game by Playground Games has Russian localization and that Russian is spoken by many players around the world. His proposal began gaining traction within its first day.
This was not the first request of its kind. Back in 2024, blogger and fanfiction writer Darina Moonlight appealed to the Fable developers to include a Russian localization. The Steam thread she created is now seeing another wave of support as well.
On June 7, a new Fable trailer was shown at Xbox Games Showcase 2026. It revealed several story spoilers, including a Hero antagonist named Isabel, a battle in Glushville and the return of Jack of Blades.
The showcase also confirmed the final release date of February 23, 2027, the game’s editions and prices, system requirements and cast, and announced its first DLC. The reboot was confirmed to support English, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Polish and Portuguese.
