Fable gameplay will be shown for the third time this summer, now at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, according to information published by Xbox.
“For the first time ever, Fable will have a live demo theater presentation by Playground Games, showcasing live gameplay to the public, taking fans on a Hero’s journey that highlights its smooth and responsive combat,” the announcement says.
Xbox will bring 25 games to the event. Visitors will be able to play some of them, including Forza, although the announcement does not explicitly say that Fable itself will be playable.
According to the published schedule, the show will run for four days. Xbox broadcasts are planned for the first two, August 26 and 27, at 4:00 p.m. CEST.
The new Fable was absent from last year’s Gamescom. Some outlets suggested at the time that the game was still far from completion, but it was later presented at Xbox Developer_Direct in January 2026. In June, Fable was first shown at Xbox Games Showcase and then received another 30-minute gameplay demonstration.
The major June 7 presentation revealed several story spoilers, including a Hero antagonist named Isabel, a battle in Glushville and even the return of Jack of Blades.
It also confirmed the final release date of February 23, 2027, the game’s editions and prices, system requirements and cast, and announced its first DLC. There will be no official Russian localization.
