Ralph Fulton: Fable Delay Was a Disappointment
Language: EN | RU
The developers of the new Fable were disappointed when the game was delayed to 2027, project lead Ralph Fulton admitted.
“The team had been very deliberately working towards a particular date this year, which, as you know, is no longer relevant. I think initially there was some disappointment,” he said in a June 10 interview with GamesRadar.
After some time, however, the team began to “see the advantages” of the move, including avoiding a crowded end-of-year period around GTA, Fulton added. He said he had tried to persuade the team that a February release would give Fable a chance to have the moment it deserves.
The game had been scheduled for autumn 2026, but its release was delayed again at the end of May.
A few days earlier, a new Fable trailer was shown at Xbox Games Showcase 2026. It revealed several story spoilers, including a Hero antagonist named Isabel, a battle in Glushville and even the return of Jack of Blades. The showcase also confirmed the final release date of February 23, 2027, the game’s editions and prices, system requirements and cast, and announced its first DLC. There will be no official Russian localization.
