Updated system requirements for the new Fable have appeared on the game's Steam page and official website.
In the latest version of the FAQ, the developers revealed what hardware is required to play at minimum, medium, high and ultra settings.
Minimum (1080p, 30 FPS)
- AMD Ryzen 5 2600 processor.
- Intel Core i7 6850K processor.
- NVIDIA RTX 5050 graphics card.
- NVIDIA RTX 2060 graphics card.
- AMD RX 6600 graphics card.
- Intel A580 graphics card.
- 12 GB of RAM.
Medium settings (1440p, 30 FPS or 1200p, 60 FPS)
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600 processor.
- Intel Core i5 11600KF processor.
- NVIDIA RTX 5060 graphics card.
- NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti graphics card.
- AMD RX 9060 XT graphics card.
- AMD RX 6700 XT graphics card.
- 16 GB of RAM.
High settings (1440p, 60 FPS)
- AMD Ryzen 7 7700X processor.
- Intel Core i7 12700K processor.
- NVIDIA RTX 5070 graphics card.
- NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti graphics card.
- AMD RX 9070 graphics card.
- AMD RX 7900 XT graphics card.
- 16 GB of RAM.
Ultra settings (4K, 60 FPS)
- AMD Ryzen 9 7900X processor.
- Intel Core i9 13900K processor.
- NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics card.
- NVIDIA RTX 4080 graphics card.
- 16 GB of RAM.
The recommended operating system is Windows 10 22H2 or later.
Previously, only Fable's minimum system requirements were known, having been revealed in June.
The day before, Gamescom 2026 featured 18 minutes of gameplay, both with and without developer commentary. The footage shows a story quest set in Bowerstone. The Hero arrives in the city after an incident in her home village of Briar Hill, meets Humphry, the head of the Heroes’ Guild, and tries to help him out of debt, including by fighting local bandits.
Journalists were also able to play another demo focused on the combat system. In a different quest, the Hero and Humphry descend into a mine and fight Hollow Folk and ghosts.
Fable will be released on February 23, 2027, although players who purchase the Premium Edition or Collector's Edition will be able to start five days earlier, on February 18.
