Anna Megill Named Lead Writer on the New Fable
Language: EN | RU
Former Control narrative director Anna Megill has been named lead writer on the new Fable, she announced on Twitter.
Here is what she wrote:
So, I’ve been dropping hints for a while that I was moving on to a new project. I wanted to get the final details sorted before announcing anything. But now that my visa has been approved (hooray!) and the travel arrangements are made, I can finally tell you. I’m thrilled to say that next year I’ll be joining Playground as Lead Writer on Fable.
Fable holds a special place in my heart. It came out the year I started working in game development, and it was the first game I played as a developer. I loved understanding how and why I was making story choices and seeing the effect I had on the NPCs around me.
Even so, I wasn’t sure this new Fable would be right for me. I thought, “Is it just going to be a bunch of medieval fart jokes?” But the team’s vision for the story reassured and excited me. It is a PERFECT fit. I can’t wait to get started. I’m going to live in an English country cottage and write fairy tales for all of you. Twelve-year-old me would have died of happiness if she had known.
Thank you all for the kind wishes! I’m glad you’re excited with me. I’ve been fortunate to have some unusual and extraordinarily tempting opportunities come my way this year. Fable feels like the perfect choice. I can’t wait to enchant you.
