Playground Games, which is developing the new Fable, posted three new game-design vacancies for the project on social media.
According to the listings, Playground was looking for a level designer, a quest designer and a Senior Game Designer.
The company accompanied its post with the question: “Fancy working on Fable?”
In July 2020, Microsoft confirmed that a new Fable was in development at Playground Games, best known for the Forza Horizon racing series. A teaser was shown at Xbox Games Showcase 2020, after almost a decade of unconfirmed rumors.
Three years later, in June 2023, Playground showed a trailer with gameplay footage at Xbox Games Showcase 2023. At the time, it was unclear whether the game was Fable 4 or a reboot of the series. It was known that the new game was being developed on the ForzaTech engine.
