The new Fable is planned for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, Spanish outlet Vandal, owned by El Español, reported on January 31 citing sources.
According to the report, Killer Instinct and Starfield would be among the first Microsoft games released on those platforms, followed later by Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 or Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.
“We have information about another game whose adaptation for PS5 and/or Switch 2 has already begun: Playground Games’ new Fable, so it is quite possible that in this case the launch will take place simultaneously on all platforms,” the journalists added.
The report echoed journalist Jez Corden, who said in late December that Fable was unlikely to remain an Xbox exclusive and should come to PS5 because of its high development costs.
On June 9, 2024, Xbox Games Showcase officially confirmed that the new Fable was planned for 2025 and showed a new trailer with gameplay footage. Several screenshots then appeared on the game’s Xbox Store page.
