Fable Will Get DLC About a Dark Ancient Cult
Language: EN | RU
The first expansion for the new Fable will be called Order of the Hero and will draw players “into the secrets of a dark, ancient cult hidden deep within the perilous beauty of Albion.”
“Fable: Order of the Hero features a brand-new region that brims with danger, wonder, and whispers of long buried power. As you explore, your deeds earn the cultist’s admiration, and you rise to become their latest (and greatest) celebrity overseer,” reads the description published on the game’s website on June 7.
With their newfound authority, players will guide the cultists’ rituals and shape the cult into their own heroic vision — noble, nasty or just plain weird. At the same time, becoming its new boss raises the question of why the cult needs a new Heroic leader and what happened to the previous one.
The DLC will be available on Fable’s launch day. It will be included in the game’s Premium Edition.
Earlier that day, a new Fable trailer was shown at Xbox Games Showcase 2026. It revealed several story spoilers, including a Hero antagonist named Isabel, a battle in Bowerstone and even the return of Jack of Blades. The showcase also confirmed the final release date of February 23, 2027 and the game’s editions, while Steam listed prices and system requirements.
Fable had been due to launch in the autumn, but one week before the annual showcase its release was delayed.
In January, Fable received a 12-minute presentation at Xbox Developer_Direct. The game was confirmed for an autumn 2026 release on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5, while many gameplay features were revealed.
