Fable Fans Launch Petition for Russian Localization
Language: EN | RU
A petition calling for Russian language support in the new Fable has appeared on Xbox Player Voice, the recently launched portal for player feedback.
“Why does your new Fable game not have Russian text localization? Forza Horizon 6 from Playground Games has Russian subtitles, while another Playground game does not. Why is that? I’m not asking for voice-over — although that would be nice — just subtitles!” wrote the petition’s author, Maxim Romanov.
He also pointed out that Russian is spoken by people far beyond Russia itself.
The proposal immediately drew broad support from other players: in less than a day it received more than 1,800 votes and around 1,000 comments, and continued to gain traction.
This is not the first request of its kind. Back in 2024, blogger and fanfiction writer Darina Moonlight appealed to the Fable developers to include a Russian localization. The Steam thread she created is now seeing another wave of support as well.
The previous day, it was confirmed that the new Fable would launch without a Russian localization. Supported languages include English, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Polish and Portuguese.
The biggest event of the day was the showing of a new trailer at Xbox Games Showcase 2026. It revealed several story spoilers, including a Hero antagonist named Isabel, a battle in Bowerstone and even the return of Jack of Blades. The showcase also confirmed the final release date of February 23, 2027, the game’s editions and prices, system requirements and cast, and announced its first DLC.
Fable had been due to launch in the autumn, but one week before the annual showcase its release was delayed.
