Jez Corden: Fable Could Still Come to Nintendo Switch 2
Language: EN | RU
The new Fable could still be released on Nintendo Switch 2, journalist Jez Corden says.
“Was told Fable for Nintendo Switch 2 isn't 100% definite for now, but under consideration for the future,” he wrote on social media on January 23.
Spanish outlet Vandal reported on a possible Switch release for Fable in January 2025.
The previous day, January 22, the game was shown at Xbox Developer_Direct in a full 12-minute segment. The presentation confirmed an autumn 2026 release window on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5 and revealed many gameplay features. The game will feature an open world, a choice of the Hero’s gender, character customization and many mechanics familiar from the series, including jobs, buying homes and interacting with NPCs.
Soon after the presentation, game director Ralph Fulton gave two interviews, with Xbox Wire and IGN. Among other things, he discussed the core elements of Fable and explained how morality will work in the new game, without horns and halos changing the Hero’s appearance. He also revealed that the next Fable will not feature a dog, while more than a thousand NPCs were created by hand.
Fable has officially been in development for more than five years — at least since 2020. It was originally planned for release in 2025, but its launch was later tied to Xbox’s 25th anniversary in autumn 2026.
