Fable Receives Age Ratings in South Korea and Australia
Language: EN | RU
The new Fable has received age ratings in South Korea and Australia, social media users noticed.
In South Korea, the game was rated 18+, while Australia assigned it an “M” rating, indicating content that may include violence and mature themes.
Meanwhile, Playground Games, which recently released Forza Horizon 6, once again confirmed Fable’s release window on its social media pages and reminded fans that the studio is still hiring.
In January, the new Fable received a full 12-minute presentation at Xbox Developer_Direct. The trailer suggested that the game could receive a 17+ rating in some countries.
The same presentation confirmed an autumn 2026 release window on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5 and revealed many gameplay features. The game will feature an open world, a choice of the Hero’s gender, character customization and many mechanics familiar from the series, including jobs, buying homes and interacting with NPCs.
Soon after the presentation, game director Ralph Fulton gave two interviews. Among other things, he shared his view of the core elements of Fable and explained how morality will work in the new game, without horns and halos changing the Hero’s appearance. He also revealed that the next Fable will not feature a dog and that more than a thousand NPCs were created by hand. The official FAQ also confirms that Fable will remain a single-player game.
Fable has officially been in development for more than five years. It was originally planned for release in 2025, and later its launch was associated with Xbox’s 25th anniversary in autumn 2026.
